Hani Rabi named DOC
The All Star Soccer Academy is pleased to announce that in a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors, Hani Rabi, has been selected as the Club’s Director of Coaching and Player Development. His diverse background includes; professional overseas playing experience, coaching both men and women at the colligate level and experience coaching a professional team. He has been a Director of Coaching for over 25 years and currently holds one of the highest USSF National Coaching licenses as well as an NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma and was named the 2007 Indiana Youth Soccer Director of Coaching of the Year. With his position as the D.O.C., Mr. Rabi will be charged with the implementation of the Rangers PFC travel program of the All Star Soccer Academy and overseeing the training curriculum of the community academies located in Auburn, Angola, Huntertown and Kendallville. During the past several months, the All Star Soccer Academy has been evaluating several trainers for the D.O.C. position of the club. According to the Club’s President, Mr. John Good, “With the recent partnership we have formed with the Rangers Football Club of Scotland and the creation of our travel soccer program, the Rangers PFC, we knew that it would take an extraordinary individual to lead us into the future. We considered several highly qualified trainers for this position, but no one could match Hani’s vast experience and technical abilities and his way of bringing the best out of all his students”. The club officially announced this selection to its parents and members in the beginning of April to allow for many relationships to develop prior to making this official announcement to the public. According to Mr. Good, “Our organization is considered more of a large family than a soccer club. Finding an individual that had the same priorities in developing the character of our kids was first and foremost on our priority list, but finding Mr. Rabi, who fully embraces our priorities and is also considered the leading authority in soccer training in the Midwest is a blessing”. The All Star Soccer Academy prides itself on providing high quality soccer training to all kids that have a desire to learn. The club does not hold try outs or prohibit kids from playing based on their physical or mental abilities. The ASSA is designed so that all kids of all abilities have a place to play soccer. Once kids achieve a specified skill set they are promoted to the Rangers PFC and are placed on competitive travel teams. According to Board Member Thompson Smith; “we have created a player development model that challenges kids of all abilities, while fostering the growth of the individual character of each and every player. Hani was the best person to implement our training system”. According the former Director of Coaching, Daron White, “We are very excited about the future of this program. With the addition of Hani’s vast experience in training to our highly individualized player development model, not to mention our partnership with the Rangers Football Club, we are destined to create the most rewarding soccer program in the region”.
