Rangers Academy

As many of you have seen, the Board of Directors been working non stop over the past six months and have created a new name and identity for the Club.  Officially, we are now the Rangers Academy.  Although a subtle change, what we have done is to combine the travel side with the academy side to form a single entity.  The main reason for this change is the confusion that the two names "All Star Soccer Academy" and "Rangers Premier Futbal Club" were creating and also the difficulty we were having in conducting marketing.

Winter Academy Training

It's time to go indoors for our specialized individual academy training.  For November through February, we are focused on the development of individual player skills.  During this period, we will be working with all the kids in the academy and rangers to develop or master their individual skills.  Although we will still work with team and group skills, our focus is on the individual player.  The winter indoor training is what really makes our club different than all others.  We focus on the individual player and not the team.

Presidents Challenge

I am personally committed to the fight against Leukemia!  I currently know three individuals that are fighting this horrible disease and I would like to challenge all Rangers players to stand with me and make a difference.  Our club can make a difference just be coming out and joining others in the event "Light the Night" that will be held on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:30pm at the East Noble High School.  We will be walking as a club to help support Allison Burton, the 8 year old sister of Reid Burton (U13B Team).

Join our Club

I would like to personally invite anyone that interested in the Rangers travel program to come out and experience why the Rangers program is the best in the Midwest.  Even though we are a dominant travel program, our focus is in the development of the individual skills and character of each and every player.  Our program promotes character development, self worth, family values and being part of not just a team, but a family. If you would like to experience a difference in travel soccer, then come out to the Rangers Tryouts.  We look forward to meeting you.

Volunteerism

I personally would like to take a moment to point out some of the amazing volunteers we have in this club.  Many do not realize how many people it takes to operate a soccer academy and also a travel soccer program, but it is a lot.  I would especially like to point out an individual that has gone above and beyond what is expected of a team mom and a volunteer.  Melinda Oster has been in charge of the fundraisers for the U14 team for the purpose of helping out all of the families with their financial obligations to go to Scotland this July.  Last nights Komets event was o

Rangers on Facebook

I have finally given in and created a Rangers PFC account on Facebook.  I will be limiting access to this account to only active members of the All Star Soccer Academy and Rangers PFC.  Within this account we will be posting mainly photographs of events that the kids attend.  If you currently have a Facebook account and are an active member or a parent of an active member, you may do a friend request for Rangers PFC and it will be accepted.

Make a Difference this Christmas.

Why is our club the best club in the United States?  Because we care about so much more than just playing soccer.  We pride ourselves on making a difference in the community.  We donate our time and our money to make our community better.  We use what we learn through playing the game of soccer and apply it into our daily lives.  When we see another player struggling, we all work to help them succeed.  We also carry this concept into our daily lives.  When we see someone in our community struggling, we do our best to help

Indoor Focus

We have moved indoors and the coaches and trainers are very excited about this program. What many of you many not realize is that this indoor program put on through the ASSA / Rangers is absolutely one of the best in the entire nation.  It is structured based upon the direction of US Soccer and the soccer programs of The Rangers Football club of Glasgow, Scotland.  No other club in the midwest or even the nation puts on a program to the same caliber as this one.

Indoor Winter Soccer

Beginning in mid November, the club will be moving indoors to the Classic City Center to run our winter programs.  These programs are designed to technically improve all individual players.  This program is one of the best in the entire nation with its focus on skills development and using these skills in game situations.

Education over Soccer

We have been asked several times lately about kids missing practices because they have school related committments and if it is an acceptable excuse to miss a practice because of homework.  The club's standpoint is that above everything else, homework and grades come first.  With several of our kids being involved in advanced subjects, we are finding that they have several hours worth of homework each and every night and that they are having difficulty in doing this and making it to their soccer practices.  The ASSA / Rangers
